From pit head to parkland
Where our fairways run, a colliery once stood. The course at New Delaval was laid out in 1976 on reclaimed pit ground — and the ground hasn’t forgotten. You’ll play Pitch & Toss, Railway and Micks Cabin on the way to the 18th, which is called Gannin Hyem.

What you join
Honest golf, properly kept
Tree-lined parkland that rewards thought over brute force. The opening six test you early, water comes into play on the back nine, and the westerly off the coast has ruined more scorecards than any bunker ever will.
A clubhouse that feels like a local
The 1905 Bar — newly refurbished, with views down the course, a proper welcome at the bar and catering that visitors write back about.
A section for every stage
Competitive golf every week, a strong and busy junior section, and a social calendar that keeps the diary full from the spring meeting to the winter league.
The course was in first-class condition, the catering was excellent and your staff could not have been more helpful. We’re already asking about coming back next year.

Eighteen holes for £28, or a quicker ten, seven days a week, with an online tee sheet and a warm welcome in the clubhouse afterwards.
